Jagriti Yatra is the world’s largest train journey which takes place every year with over 450 Young Indians and some international participants. We target youth from smaller towns and villages of India to energise them through an enterprise formula. Participants are selected from all 36 states and union territories of the country and in our 15 day journey; we expose them to 12 iconic role models who are building India bottom up.
A century ago, a young man set out on a train journey that ultimately gave birth to our nation. He was on a mission to understand India. Travelling through the diversity of the land, he was meeting the real India of small towns and villages. He understood that this is where he will discover the seeds of renewal and freedom. As he travelled he engaged in a dialogue with the co-travellers and others at various destinations. The journey brought him closer to his country, its people, and their challenges. Transformed, he was equipped to unleash one of the biggest freedom movements of the 20th century that led to the creation of the largest democracy in the world.
